LUBA Workers’ Comp rated “A-Excellent” by A.M. Best Company for the nineteenth consecutive year

Baton Rouge, LA. (January 19, 2023) – LUBA Insurance Group, a 31-year-old regional casualty insurance operation, recently received an “A- Excellent” rating with a stable outlook from A.M. Best Company for the nineteenth consecutive year. LUBA, a Baton Rouge-based regional insurance group, operates in eleven states.

LUBA’s A- Excellent rating is a testament to its tenured management team and staff, a stable insured base of approximately 4,000 policyholders, and an expansive network of trusted independent agency partners.

“Each year, we strive to deliver on our promise of Genuine Dependability. This speaks to our relationship-driven approach with our agents and policyholders, ensuring we are actively meeting their needs head-on,” said David Bondy, LUBA Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “We know now more than ever that helping our policyholders reduce their risks, coupled with protecting them from uncertainties, will lead to better preparedness and stability in the long term.”

LUBA continues to benefit from exceptional customer service, industry, and product expertise, as well as the flexibility to capitalize on opportunities such as the purchase of control of FHM Insurance Company by LUBA Workers’ Comp in 2020.  As the world’s oldest and most authoritative rating agency, A.M. Best’s Credit Ratings are benchmarks for measuring the financial strength of insurers, as well as the credit quality of their obligations. Four primary factors dictate the rating scale: operating performance, balance sheet strength, business profile, and enterprise risk management (ERM).
