Community

Since co-founding LUBA Workers' Comp, CEO David Bondy has built a culture of diligence and hard work, as well as a warm tradition of philanthropy and volunteerism. Through his example and encouragement, LUBA employees support local nonprofit agencies both financially and by volunteering their time. "I’m proud of LUBA’s involvement with some very worthy community efforts,” David says. “Our tradition of volunteerism has been incredibly rewarding, and we have a lot of fun in the process."

Below are just a few nonprofit agencies LUBA is proud to support. For more information on these agencies, click their individual links.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
The CASA program recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to speak up for abused and neglected children and advocates for their timely placement into safe and permanent homes.

LUBA sponsors CASA’s annual “Casas for CASA” fundraiser along with selling raffle tickets for this fun event.

Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics and free enterprise. Partnering with local business professionals and educators, Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to teach young people the economics of life and opening their minds to their own potential. We at LUBA support local schools by volunteering in classrooms through Junior Achievement and participating in the organization's fundraising events throughout the year.

LUBA also is a sponsor of Junior Achievement's Annual Bowl-A-Thon. For the past several years, LUBA bowling teams have helped raise thousands of dollars for Junior Achievement and had a great time in the process!

Catholic Charities
Each Christmas, LUBA focuses on helping needy families. Our employees choose families and help fill their Christmas wish lists.
